Cedar Creek Shell Fragments and Canister

This is a fantastic riker display case full of artillery relics from the decisive Battle of Cedar Creek, October 19, 1864. The display includes 3 canister balls, the bottom one exhibiting a distinct mold seam typical of confederate manufacture. The shell fragments consist of two 12lb. fragments and one from a rifled projective. An old tag on the upper fragment identifies the grouping as being recovered from "US CENTER SHERIDAN'S CAMP, CEDAR CREEK, VA. FOUND IN TRENCHES ON HILLTOP." AR2- $95.00
