On
Diseases of the Skin by Erasmus Wilson
This is the 6th American
edition of a classic Civil War medical text. Though it is
the 1865 edition, this book was printed just after the Civil
War in 1866 judging by the advertisements in the back of the
book. The book has several interesting illustratons and is
in great condition with a strong binding. This book was the
cutting edge in 1865. BO3- $60.00 |

My
Story of The War by Mary A. Livermore
Here is a very informative
book written by the famous Sanitary Commission worker and
Civil War nurse Mary A. Livermore. The book's leather binding
is very worn and somewhat weak but not entirely separated.
The book includes a portrait of Mary Livermore with her signature
that is likely a facsimile. The highlight of this book are
the 8 brilliant full color chromolithographs of Civil War
battle flags, protected by tissue paper and in stunningly
mint condition, as well as numerous steel engravings of camp
and battle scenes. This is a great historical book, and the
quality of the engravings and chromolithographs are worth
the cost alone. BO4- $50.00 |
