Remington
New Model Army, 2 Line Address “Transition” Model
Here is a really
nice Remington New Model Army Revolver. This one is in the
17,000 serial number range with the 2 line address stamped
on the top of the barrel, which lacks the marking “New
Model”. The metal exhibits a smooth brown patina overall
with a few service dings along the right side of the frame.
Grips are in very nice condition with a few scratches and
one sharp inspector’s cartouche. Bore is nice with sharp
rifling. The action on this pistol is tight and mechanically
perfect. Nice early 1863 production pistol that definitely
fought Johnny Reb.
FA2- $1500.00

Modified Civil War Issue Style Tin Cup
Large size 4.5x4.5 tin cup modified
with wire bail. This one has a ton of character and would
look great in a camp display. The dimples on the bottom of
the cup show evidence of coffee grinding, and a little of
the lead solder has melted. This one definitely hung over
the bivouac fire. MIS3-$200.00 |

1862
Patent Cape/ Gum Blanket Button
Scarce Abel Putnam 1862 Patent
Button, designed to fasten the soldier’s gum blanket
around the neck as a poncho, or to fasten together shelter
tents. These originally sold for 1 dollar for a set of 3,
and would likely have been readily available from the army
sutlers. Rufus Ingalls, Chief Quartermaster Army of the Potomac,
wrote on May 27th, 1863, “I have examined the Patent
Eyelet Hook, and have a very high opinion of its utility.
Believing that it would be of great value to the troops, I
recommend that authority be granted to introduce it to this
army.” This one is in great condition, and has the patent
date “Nov 11 1862” faintly stamped into the back
of the button. BUT1-

Model 1858 Smoothside Canteen with Original Cover and Stopper
Standard issue smoothside canteen
with 95% intact brown wool cover. Original stopper and chain
in nice condition, but I believe the sling is an old reproduction.
Every Civil War collection needs one of these on display.
AC3- $365.00 |

1852
Navy Officer's Sword, Inscribed ID to "Henry Allen"
Attractive Civil War Navy Officer's
sword with blade inscribed to Henry Allen. Records show that
Henry Allen served as an Acting Master from October 15th,
1861 until his Dismissal on January 13th, 1863. This sword
certainly invites further research. Shark skin grip is strong
and in excellent condition. Brass guard is just slightly loose.
The blade is unmarked with slight pitting and a few scattered
dark spots. The edge has some nicks and looks like it has
seen some swordplay in the past. Solid ID'd officer's sword
affordably priced. BL4-$1600.00 |

“Jeff
Davis” Hardee Hat Pin, Non Excavated
Nice non-dug hardee hat pin. The
bottom hook is intact, the top hook is missing. Two small
holes were punched through the upper face of the pin. Overall
a nice piece of insignia that’s getting tough to find
in non-excavated condition. MIS4-$185.00
